2024 Holy Week – Palm Sunday

2024 Holy Week – Palm Sunday

Prayer

Hosanna!! !!  to you Jesus, my King.

As you rode Hosanna into Jerusalem, the people followed you and praised you, saying Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord;

Hosanna in the highest.

When you went into the Temple of God, the children were there praising you crying in the Temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David.

Precious Jesus, that day marked the beginning of your week of Passion.

You knew, well, what was before you.

I praise you this day for embracing what would be an extremely difficult week for the sake of the world which you loved.

Forever be with me to help me through difficulties I face in this life.

Help me to follow you and praise you all of my days.

Bless our children to serve you and always give you the highest praise.

In your name I pray.  Amen.

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, power, and dominion forever and ever, and to the Holy Ghost, who still abides in us. The key phrase for March is “Resurrection Power.” This message explores the depth of Christ’s Love.

The story of Jesus Christ is a perfect example of love. His incarnation, crucifixion, and resurrection demonstrate God’s love for all humanity. This love is transformational and life-altering. When we are touched by that love and respond to it, our lives will never be the same. As we live as people transformed by Jesus’s resurrection, God’s grace and love transform us from the inside out and impact our relationships with others. God invites us on a therapeutic journey to be agents of renewal, building up God’s kingdom on earth.

However, living a life of resurrection love is full of challenges. Jesus’ command to love one another in the book of John follows the presence of evil. That’s when we need to be reminded to choose love. When those we thought were close, we thought we could trust, abandon us, we must choose love. When the actions and words of others come from hate, suspicion, and prejudice, we must choose love.

In conclusion, choosing love is all about living a life that loves unconditionally and recognizing it wherever you see it. It’s about living a life that mirrors the resurrection power of Jesus Christ, which means living a life marked by love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These are the fruits of the Spirit and the proof of the resurrection power working within us. The Apostle Paul’s first letter to the church in Corinth (1 Corinthians 13:13) summarizes the power of love. “And now abideth faith, hope, and charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity (LOVE)!”

Remember, “…With God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26).

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and to Him be the Glory, Power, and Dominion forever and ever and to the Holy Ghost yet abiding in the body. For February, the weekly messages will focus on the HEART. Jeremiah 17:10 reads, I, the Lord, search the heart; I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.”

Love in Action: Living the Message

The attributes of love, as described in 1 Corinthians the 13th chapter, inspire believers to embody these characteristics daily as a manifestation of God’s love. This chapter, defined as the “Love Chapter,” comprehensively depicts love’s true nature. But how do we translate this poetic and profound description into action? How do we live the message of 1 Corinthians 13 daily?

Paul’s Characteristics of Love (1 Corinthians 13:4-7) is more than an admirable list of attributes. It is a blueprint for how we are to interact with others. In John 13:34-35, Jesus reinforced the importance of love in action by giving His followers a new commandment: “…to love one another as He has loved us.” This verse reinforces the importance of love in action. In concurrence, John emphasizes the importance of expressing love in words and actions. “My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue, but in deed and truth.” (1 John 3:18)

In closing, the “Love Chapter” is a journey of intentionality and perseverance. As we embody love in our actions, we reflect God’s love to those around us. We can make the essence of God’s love tangible through patience, kindness, humility, and endurance. Love in action is not about grand gestures but often resides in the small, consistent acts of love we extend toward others. Living out these actions shows the transformative power of God’s love and makes it tangible to those around us. It’s not about grand gestures but small, consistent acts of love that reflect God’s love. As we love one another in words and deeds, we become instruments of His grace and light.

Until next week, let us remember, “…with God, all things are possible” Matthew 19:26.
