Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and to Him be the Glory, Power, and Dominion forever and ever and to the Holy Ghost yet abiding in the body. The key phrase for March is “Resurrection Power.”

The resurrection proves that Jesus Christ’s sacrifice is sufficient. God forgives those who are in Christ. This is why Paul was able to say to the Thessalonians, “For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.” As a result, because of the resurrection, we are forgiven for our sins if we forgive and repent.

Romans 4:25 explains the connection between Resurrection Power and forgiveness. It says, “Who was delivered for our offenses and was raised again for our justification.” The death of Jesus paid the penalty for our sins and secured our forgiveness. Therefore, forgiving the person or people responsible for the hurt is essential if you have experienced “church hurt” due to someone or something that happened. If you feel that you were disciplined unfairly or the way you believe you should have been disciplined, you should let go of any resentment and move on. Because the person or persons you have an aught against may have handled your situation as directed by the Holy Spirit.

Hebrews 12:6 talks about discipline, stating, “For whom the Lord loves, He disciplines, and scourges every son whom He receives.” Hebrews 12:8 says, “But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons.” And in the 11th verse, we learn that “…no discipline seems joyous at the time, but painful.”

In closing, it’s important to remember the significance of love. Even though it may appear impossible, every Christian is called to love in every situation. Ultimately, only love will stand the test of time (1 Corinthians 13:13). If we don’t have love, our lives will be meaningless and unproductive (1 Corinthians 13:1-3). Love can cover many sins (1 Peter 4:8), and as followers of Jesus Christ, we must forgive, move on, move higher in Christ Jesus, and love one another.

Remember, “…With God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26).
