Message from the Desk of First Lady Deaconess Linda Worthem

August 16, 2022

I greet you my brothers and sisters in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to Him be the Glory. I am yet saved, sanctified, and kept by the power of God. I am humbled by the position that the Lord has bestowed upon my husband of 40 years, Bishop Calvin Worthem, whom I will refer to as General Chief Overseer Worthem. We love God and the Church of the
Living God, the Pillar and Ground of the Truth, Which He Purchased with His Own Blood, Inc.- Jewell Dominion. I pray daily that we walk worthy of this calling.

The Lord has laid it on my heart to communicate periodically through a newsletter with the awesome holy women of the Church of the Living God – Jewell Dominion. As I think on this years’ proclamation, “A New Beginning,” given by our late beloved Overseer/Senior Bishop, Bishop Dr. Faye Moore. As we know this is the beginning of the sixth administration with
General Chief Overseer Worthem as our Chief Apostle and leader. I would like to request that all wives, mothers, daughters, and grandmothers, unite in prayer as never before for our new leader, husbands, children, and loved ones. Whether they are saved or unsaved, prayer changes things because it allows us to speak directly to God, which provides an incredible opportunity for deep communion with Him. Furthermore, praying brings Him into our situations and provides Him with an opportunity to bless them and work in our lives.

In closing, we know Satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but greater is He that is within us, than he that is in the world. We also know, (beyond a shadow of a doubt), that God is a prayer answering Savior. Women of God, please continue to pray for me and my family as I pray daily for you and your family. Let us remember, it is not only our duty to pray for others, but also to
desire the prayers of others for ourselves. May God continue to bless you and your families. 1 Timothy 2:1-2 reads, “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for all people, for kings and all those in authority, that we might live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.” Above all, praying for others brings God
glory. Therefore, we should seek to glorify God in every aspect of our life. Hence, when we pray for others, we are reflecting the way Jesus prays for us. Also, when we pray for others, we are reflecting God’s loving kindness. Furthermore, praying for others draws us nearer to God. So let us lift one another up in prayer to our Heavenly Father! I give all praises to the true and living
God!

Your Humble Servant in Christ,
Deaconess Linda Worthem
