Weekly Message

Date: March 25, 2024

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, power, and dominion forever and ever, and to the Holy Ghost, who still abides in us. The key phrase for March is “Resurrection Power.” This message for the week is “Power Over Sin.”

My dear brothers and sisters, the Resurrection of Jesus Christ was necessary, for a dead Savior cannot save anyone. As we read in Romans 4:25, Christ “was delivered for our offenses and was raised again for our justification.” This means that Jesus Christ rose from the dead three days later, proving that the Father accepted His sacrifice for sin and that Jesus truly has power over both sin and death. In Romans 6:14, we learn that “sin shall not have dominion over us as we are not under the law but under grace.” Apostle Paul opens the 6th chapter of Romans by admitting that sin is one of humanity’s most complex challenges. “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?” God has given us a new life in Jesus Christ, which has broken sin’s power over our lives.

Moreover, Jesus’s resurrection has profound implications for the forgiveness of sins. Jesus atoned for our sins through His death and resurrection, granting us forgiveness and reconciliation with God. His sacrifice on the cross paid the price for our wrongdoings, enabling us to be forgiven and made righteous before God. My brothers and sisters, there is power in the resurrection! The resurrection can break the curse of sin, heal generational brokenness, and heal broken homes, marriages, hearts, attitudes, and churches!

In closing, knowing that those who believe in Jesus Christ have been justified is exhilarating. Through the blood of Jesus Christ, every believer has peace with God and access to His grace. We stand in a place of blessings and have hope for a future with God. Even in our current struggles, we can find joy and glory in our faith. Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.” My brothers and sisters, God has given us new life in Jesus. Sin’s power over our lives has been broken through the power of Jesus Christ’s Resurrection. Hence, if Jesus Christ has set us free, how can we allow sin to reign in our lives? We have a choice, and that choice makes all the difference. Jesus Christ won the victory at Calvary. Therefore, sin’s power is broken, and we are set free.

Remember, “…With God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26).
