Message from the Desk of First Lady Deaconess Linda Worthem

Date: March 17, 2024

Greetings to Saints of God. I give honor and all praises to the all-mighty God and to the Holy Ghost. I am yet saved, satisfied, and kept by the power of the Holy Ghost. I give honor to the General Overseer, Assistant Overseer, Chief Helpers, and all who teach and preach the word of God.

Saints, I am thankful to God because a few weeks ago, we received a tremendous amount of snow, and later, because of rain and below-freezing temperatures, we had some very icy roads. We could not leave our homes for about three days. This sunny day and the budding of the trees let me know that Spring is coming. I love all seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall. God is in control of all seasons, and He has a specific time for each season. No one has the power to change that order but God. I am reminded of Bishop Sarah Stratton’s sermon during a Mississippi State Assembly in Tupelo. Her Topic was, “A contrary wind cannot blow always.” No season, winter, spring, summer, or fall, cannot always last; one must get back and let the other one come forth.

Saints, if it is Winter in your life now, if you are going through a rough time financially, sickness, depression, hurt, grief, children acting up, health problems, no matter what it is, it won’t last always; Spring will come. God will not always allow His people to suffer; Romans 8:17 says, “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified together.” Lamentations 3:32, “But though he causes grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.” While God works, we must keep faith, believe, pray, smile, rejoice, praise God, and thank Him for the blessings to come. Spring is on the way. Remember, He may not come when you want Him, but He is always on time, so praise God.

Saints, I praise the Lord for this year’s International Women’s Conference in Philadelphia, PA. I praise God for the host church, Strawberry Mansion, and the host Pastor, Bishop Dr. Rosette Coney, for doing a fantastic job. I genuinely regret that I was unable to attend. I praise God for all the speakers and all who came from near and far to be a part of each anointed service.

Also, I thank God for the Overseer and others going to Badin, NC, to take care of business. They had an excellent service with Bishop Howard Yawn and the members. Praised God.

In my closing, the Overseer and I wish everyone a Happy Resurrection Day. Please continue to pray for us as we pray for you.

All praises be to the all-mighty God.

His Servant,

Deaconess Linda Worthem
