Weekly Message from General Chief Overseer Bishop Dr. Calvin Worthem

Date: 08/07/2023

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to Him be the Glory, Power, and Dominion forever and ever and to the Holy Ghost that is yet abiding in the body. This month’s key word is ENCOURAGEMENT!

We all face struggles; some are self-afflicted and others are not.  We can take comfort in what Jesus Christ has done on the cross and how Jesus’ sacrifice guarantees that God loves us and is watching out for us.

2 Corinthians 1:3-5 tells us, “Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort, who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.”

In closing, my brothers and sisters, be encouraged when life is tiring, you are struggling with your sin, family members aren’t saved,  bills aren’t paid,  school is difficult, work is exhausting, your health is failing,  your loved ones are hurt, the future is unsure, and when a good friend leaves, it is easy to be discouraged. Keeping our eyes on Jesus is the best way to be encouraged.  In Him, we can have comfort, peace, and encouragement.  You need to find Him and His words, and by faith rest in Him. Until next week, remember, “… with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26)”.

In His Service,

Bishop Dr. Calvin Worthem
