Weekly Message

Date: February 05, 2024

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and to Him be the Glory, Power, and Dominion forever and ever and to the Holy Ghost yet abiding in the body. For February, the weekly messages will focus on the HEART. Jeremiah 17:10 reads, I, the Lord, search the heart; I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.”  Romans 8:27 says, And He that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit because He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”

My brothers and sisters, this message focuses on the heart and God’s unconditional love. I find that unconditional love is one that individuals often struggle with. It is easy to love those who love us back, those who are kind, but how do you love when it’s hard? How do you love those who have wronged you, hurt you, or those you don’t understand?

The Scriptures show us a love that is unlike any other: the unconditional love of God. Romans 8:38-39 tells us that nothing can separate us from the love of God. This is an inseparable love because God’s love remains constant, regardless of our circumstances, shortcomings, and fears.  Psalm 136:26 tells us God’s love isn’t just inseparable but everlasting. God’s love is enduring and is a model for us to love others over time, even when faced with challenges or disappointments. In Luke 15:11-32, the (Parable of the Prodigal Son) reveals the unending nature of God’s love. This parable demonstrates that God’s love is not based on our merits or deeds but on His unchanging nature. Despite his son’s mistakes, the father’s love for his son mirrors how God loves us.

In closing, emulating (imitating) God’s unconditional love in our lives requires continual learning, self-analysis, and effort. Likewise, understanding God’s inseparable love and everlasting and forgiving nature can transform our hearts and attitudes. We are not just receivers of God’s unconditional love, but vessels called to share this powerful love with others. Let us strive to love as God loves us, without condition, without hesitation, and with a love that endures all things.

Until next week, let us remember, “…with God, all things are possible” Matthew 19:26.
