Message from the Desk of First Lady Deaconess Linda Worthem

April 6, 2023

Greetings my brothers and sisters in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  I remain saved and sanctified and kept by the power of the Holy Ghost.  I give honor to the General Chief Overseer, Bishop Dr. Calvin Worthem, Assistant Overseer, Bishop Dr. Bonnie Guster and all officials who are teaching, preaching and living according to the Word of God.

Saints, I truly thank all who prayed for people in the States of Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Alabama. As for as I know no saints lost their life or home.  But some saint’s homes suffered minor damage, but none suffered a total loss, Praise God!

I also thank everyone for their birthday wishes, greeting cards, and monetary gifts.  The celebration was awesome and I praise God for allowing me to see my 70th birthday.

April is one of my favorite months, because we celebrate with much joy the death, burial, and resurrection of our and Savior Jesus Christ.  Many celebrate this holiday with colored eggs and baskets filled with goodies etc. but let us not forget to teach our children the true meaning of this holiday, the day Jesus’s blood set us free from the bondage of sin and He rose with all power in His hand, and the  keys to death and hell.  Matthew 28:18, “And Jesus came and spake unto them saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” Jesus Christ suffered and died for us.  Hence, we should ask ourselves if we are willing to suffer for Him.  There is no escape, suffering will come when we live according to the Word of God. 1Peter 4:1, “Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin.” Let us not allow Satan to make us unbelievers.   Every word of God is true and Satan is liar, St. John 8:44, “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your fathers ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: he is a liar, and the father of it.”

Saints let us go to God’s house on Resurrection Sunday with Joy in our hearts, thanks and praises in our mouths, because, HE HAS RISEN!!!!!  Praise God, Praise God, Praise God,

The Overseer and I wish each and every member a Happy and blessed Resurrection Day. I hope to see as many women as possible in the upcoming Women’s Conference in Detroit, MI. All praises be to the True and the Living God.

His Servant,

Deaconess Linda Worthem
