Message from the Desk of First Lady Deaconess Linda Worthem

Date: February 11, 2024

Holy Greetings, my brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  I am saved, sanctified, satisfied, and kept by the power of the Holy Ghost.  I give honor to our General Chief Overseer, Bishop Dr. Calvin Worthem, and Assistant Overseer, Bishop Dr. Bonnie Guster, and all officials of the Church of the Living God-Jewell Dominion, who are teaching, preaching and living according to the word of God.

Saints, I pray that all are continuing to enjoy the blessings of the New Year. The Overseer and I are doing well, Praise God.  We pray daily for all of you and ask that you continue praying for us.

As I prayed and sought God as to what I should say to His people this month, the answer came in one word, “LOVE.” Valentine’s Day is this month, and love is probably on the minds of many. Before I say more, I want all to know it’s an honor and a great privilege to share monthly encouraging words with the members of the COTLG, the Pillar and Ground of the Truth, Which He Purchased with His Own Blood, Jewell’s Dominion, Inc.

February is an exceptional month for me because it is the month of my spiritual birthday and the month I was born again. On Sunday, February 15, 1981, I received the Holy Ghost’s baptism.  In past years, many saints would say in their testimonies, “I thank God for baptizing my body with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost, and I thank him that I can yet feel His Spirit abiding in my body. It’s like fire shut up in my bones, making me move and shout.” This is my testimony that on the 15th day of this month, I will be 43 years old spiritually, Praise God.

Saints, Love, Prayer, the Word of God, and the Holy Ghost are the most potent weapons on the earth. Make sure you use them. I often tell God, thank you for loving me and all sinners enough to give his Holy Son, Jesus Christ, to suffer and die to free us from the bondage of sin.

Saints, that’s “LOVE”. On this Valentine’s Day, remember how much God loves you, and let us love God enough to live for him.  The Law won’t keep us from sinning, but Love will. In my closing, I leave with you this scripture, St. John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Also, remember February is Heart Health Awareness Month and Black History Month. Please take care of your heart both naturally and spiritually.

All Praises Be to The True and The Living God.

His Servant,

Deaconess Linda Worthem
