Holy greetings, my brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I remain saved, sanctified, and kept by the power of the Holy Ghost. I give honor to our General Chief Overseer, Bishop Dr. Calvin Worthem, the Assistant Overseer, Bishop Dr. Bonnie Guster, the Chief Helper, and all officials who work tirelessly to spread the word of God and bring souls to Christ.
Saints, I pray that all continue to enjoy God’s abundant blessings in 2025. Let us remain thankful and lift in prayer the people of California who have faced significant losses this year. We express our gratitude for the generous donations sent to them by the Church of the Living God.
During a recent outing at the mall, while the Overseer went to get the car serviced, I stayed behind to explore. I stumbled upon a beautiful item of clothing, and a thought struck me: “It’s Going to Cost You.” Upon seeing the price, I realized it was steep, and after examining the fabric, I concluded that it exceeded what I was willing to spend. So, I chose to leave it behind.
Saints, this situation reflects the nature of sin. Sin will cost you far more than you intend to pay, so I urge you to distance yourself from it. Just as I decided about the dress, remember that while sin may appear enticing, it can lead us away from heaven. Romans 6:23 reminds us, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
If you find yourself acting or feeling contrary to the word of God, let it go. Recall St. John 10:10: “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
In closing, I reflect on a timeless truth: “Sin will take you further than you want to go, it will make you stay longer than you want to stay, and it will cost you more than you want to pay.”
All praises be to the True and Living God.
