Message from the Desk of First Lady Deaconess Linda Worthem

March 14, 2023

I greet you my brothers and sister in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I remain saved sanctified and kept by the power of God. I give honor to our General Chief Overseer, Bishop Dr. Calvin Worthem, our Assistant Chief Overseer, Bishop Dr. Bonnie Guster and all officials who are on the battlefield teaching, preaching, and living according to the Word of God.

It was truly a blessing to see those in attendance during the Spring Southern Assembly. Praising God for the soul that received the Holy Ghost and the soul that accepted salvation. I praise God for protecting us who were in Owensboro and those who were enroute. God protected us from the some very strong wind and heavy rain. We had a momentous assembly and I thank God for allowing everyone to return home safely.

The General Chief Overseer and I truly appreciate the warm welcome we received from the Pastor, Elder Mary E. Boyd, her husband, Deacon Jason Boyd and all the saints in Owensboro, Kentucky. Our hotel accommodation and the food were superb. We thank everyone who blessed us with food, prayer pillows, and Bluff City Products.

After speaking on Sunday, I was asked to share my message “God is Holy” in my next newsletter; therefore, Pastors would be able to share with their members who were not in attendance at the Southern Assembly.

Saints the Bible is Holy, there is no other book like the Holy Bible: Deuteronomy 12:32 tells us, “What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.” Proverbs 30: 5-6 reads, “Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a lair.” “Forever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven” (Psalms 119:89). Communion is Holy. There is no other meal like Holy Communion, which consist of unleavened bread and water, which represents Christ’s death on the cross.  Saints we should have communion often to remember, that it was Christ’s blood that set us free from the bondage of Satan and sin. “For I received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: And when he has given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take eat this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me” (I Corinthians 11:23-25). “Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the Passover must be killed” (Luke 22:7). Tithing is Holy. Ten percent of your income  should be set aside and given in God’s house for the up building of His Kingdom. Leviticus 27:30, “And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s: it is holy unto the Lord.”  God’s Church is Holy.  We are to enter in with praise through thanksgiving, singing songs, and playing musical instruments. Psalms 100:4, “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him and bless his name.” We have numerous reasons to thank God; Jesus is the utmost of all these reasons. Marriage is Holy. Marriage between a man and a woman is holy, ordained and sanctioned by God. Mark 10:7, “For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife.”

In my closing, God is Holy, and his people are holy. I Peter 1:15-16 reads, “But as he which hath called you in holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation: Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.” Therefore, the Baptism of the Holy Ghost gives us the power to live holy lives. God’s word is our directive on how we should live. His word is perfect, pure, holy, and ever settled in heaven. Let us live holy lives so that one day we might hear our Savior say, “Well done, thy good and faithful servant”.  Truly, I give all praise to the true and living God.

His Servant,

Deaconess Linda Worthem
