The Late Deaconess Gladys Swope was born in Duke, Kentucky, and was well known for her Red Velvet, Mountain Dew, and Strawberry cakes.
Deaconess Gladys served on the Usher board for many years and was a part of the Deaconess Mount Clemens Band.
Although she was unable to bear children of her own, Deaconess Gladys did not let the devil cease her from raising 52 children in the way our Lord has planned.
Deaconess Gladys was very well known for the amount of work she did helping feed the homeless and others in our community.
Deaconess Gladys Swope is my great grandmother.
