Weekly Message from General Chief Overseer Bishop Dr. Calvin Worthem

Date: 12/19/2022

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to Him be the Glory and to the Holy Ghost. This month’s key phrase is: THE WONDERFUL GIFT FROM GOD.

Saint and friends, if you haven’t received this amazing, wonderful gift yet then you can receive it today, you don’t need to wait until Christmas Day to open it, you can have it right now! The gift of Jesus is eternal, it lasts forever and today is your opportunity to accept this amazing gift (the Holy Ghost). A gift that will cost you nothing but cost God everything, a gift that is completely free. To receive the Holy Ghost and give your heart to Jesus just say the following prayer. You can say it out loud or if you can say it silently but regardless of how you say it just say the words from your heart:

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for loving us so much through your Son Jesus Christ. I receive your love and accept and invite Jesus into my heart to be Lord over my life from this day forward. I repent of my sins and receive your forgiveness. I believe that I am now your Child. In Your son Jesus’ name, I ask and pray, Amen.

If you prayed this prayer for the first time then I invite you to speak to another Christian and tell them that you have given your heart to Jesus, I am sure they will be happy to give you some guidance for the next stage of your exciting new journey. If you are not sure about who to talk to, find a local church and speak to someone there or alternatively you can contact The Church of The Living God – Jewell Dominion Hotline (470) 308-1467. If you leave your contact details members of our church Supreme Counsel of Bishops will give you some initial guidance and answer any questions you may have. Your name and number will be kept confidential. As the General Chief Overseer, I will get back to you as soon as I hear from the Supreme Council of Bishops.

We thank God that Jesus was born, which is the very reason why Christians all over the world celebrate Christmas. We hope that you have a peaceful and blessed Christmas and we give thanks to God for the wonderful gift of Jesus and the gift of the Holy Ghost. The gift of the Holy Ghost is the privilege given to those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ, been baptized, and been confirmed as members of the Church; to receive continual guidance and inspiration from the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38 (KJV) – “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” Until next week think about what the gift of the Holy Ghost is doing in your life? And remember, “…with God all things are possible”. Matthew 19:26

In His Service,

Bishop Dr. Calvin Worthem
