I greet you my brothers and sister in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I remain saved sanctified and kept by the power of God. I thank God for allowing us to see this far in the new year, and I pray that all are having a bless year. I give honor to our General Chief Overseer, Bishop Dr. Calvin Worthem, our Assistant Chief Overseer, Bishop Dr. Bonnie Guster and all officials who are on the battlefield for our Lord.
Saints, I praise God for this year’s proclamation, “Being Obedient is the Key”. I would like to take this opportunity to encourage all members of Church of the Living God-Jewell Dominion to be obedient in paying tithes. Saints if we truly want to be blessed, we must pay tithes. Malachi 3:10-11 tells us, “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts”.
If we obey, one day we will be able to sing the song, “I tried God and found him to be alright”. During the pandemic God supplied his people with all their needs. God is our supplier, and his supplies will never run out. Psalm 37:19 reads, “They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine, they shall be satisfied”. Your tithes is ten percent of your income. Sometimes we might not have our offerings, God is please when we give what we can, but pay your tithes. God knows what we have and what we do not have. However, when we pay our tithes, we have done what God instructed us to do. We cannot worry about what’s being done with the tithes and offerings. We must trust God that it will be used for the upbuilding of His Kingdom.
In closing, I encourage the saints to try God. All we need to do is be obedient in every walk of our life with a believing mind and a willing heart. Each morning we wake up, God give us another opportunity to make a choice. “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15). Saints, I beseech you to join me in paying your tithes and obeying God’s instructions in all areas of your life. Continue to have a Blessed, Happy New Year (2023). Giving all praises to the True and Living God!

Deaconess Linda Worthem
